College brackets brought out Ian Hubbard's best work. Indiana's title run carried his CFP card to 5th. Ten straight selections then kept Hubbard alive through Day 8, enough for a share of 13th.
The professional postseasons were harsher. A strong Wild Card round could salvage only a shared 165th in the NFL Playoffs, while an Avalanche position left the NHL card at 200th. A Morocco-led World Cup entry at a tie for 58th restored some balance.
The balance was 1525.5 points and 47th, a 5-place improvement. Hubbard's season changed character whenever the competition moved from campus to the pros.
