Grant Hatzenbihler spent the year trying to tear the standings in half. He shared 2nd in NFL Survivor with 248 and placed 8th in the College Football Playoff with 243.5, two finishes built for a contender's résumé.
The same season also held 245th in NCAAF. Indiana returned 94, six other shares disappeared, and the contest paid only 7. Hockey offered a second basement visit at 206th and 46.
The World Cup repaired some of that damage at 39th, and golf held up at 79th. Together they recovered 48 places and deposited Hatzenbihler at 103rd with 1336.5, an ordinary address for one of the loudest cards on the board.
