Andrew Nuss was built for elimination games. He survived 9 March picks before Iowa caught him on Day 7, good for a tied 19th and 227.5, after an NFL Survivor run had already reached a tied 20th and paid 226.5.
The statistical cruelty is that Nuss never recorded a bottom-quartile finish. His World Cup card at 186th and Golf entry at 184th both stopped just short of that label, but they arrived together at the end and cost him 39 places.
The final line, 1412.5 points and 75th place, contains no official disaster. It contains two excellent survivor runs and a soft finish timed badly enough to look like one.
