Adam J. Tunning spent most of the year carrying a 249th-place crater from NCAAF. Texas Tech supplied 85, seven other shares returned nothing, and the card earned only 3 placement points.
The first counterexample arrived on the NBA board, where all but one win-total call hit. That was worth a tied 25th and 225.5. Golf completed the reversal: 566.6 across the majors, 127.8 at The Open, 7th place, and 245 more points.
The majors rescue was worth 46 places; Tunning's 1375.5 points now sit 84th. The turnaround was dramatic, but not completely out of nowhere. The NBA had already shown what his year looked like when the board cooperated.
